Design
The Concert Series was designed with one aim in mind: to bring live concert and movie experience into homes with all of the dynamics, crisp dialogue and live performance characteristics with custom speakers, as well as cabinets. The IW 827 LCR is equipped with a white, paintable grill. Although it’s nearly invisible, this is one in-wall speaker with big sound—which is the first thing you notice when you hear it.

Technology
The IW 827 LCR is a 2.5-way design with a 1-inch DTT silk dome tweeter located between the 7-inch woofer and a 7-inch midrange/woofer—both featuring high-end fiberglass/honeycomb composite drivers. This design, coupled with a unique crossover, achieves excellent vertical sound dispersion without the midrange cancellation that can happen in a traditional two-way speaker’s woofer/tweeter/woofer layout.

The driver configuration gives it a slightly downward optimal listening angle; in other words, it can be installed next to a flat panel TV or alone, relatively high on a wall, and still deliver optimal audio to those seated in the room.
